“Four hostile newspapers are more to be feared than a thousand bayonets.”
― Napoleon Bonaparte

Corrupt people should be afraid to receive a phone call from an Inside Investigator reporter, and as we continue helping to remove more bad actors from positions of power, they are. Our mission, after all, is to root out their wrongdoing and bring it to the public.

If you have not read our journalism before, start here first >

If you have read Inside Investigator journalism, you understand that our ability to publish high-credibility local information is made possible exclusively through the generosity of donors. We accept no money with editorial strings attached, and we do not accept any money that has been procured by force or fraud.

“To look at the paper is to raise a seashell to one’s ear and to be overwhelmed by the roar of humanity.”
― Alain de Botton

There is a desperate need for investigative journalism. The evidence for this is in the dozens of tips we receive each week pleading for one of our staff to tell their story, right a wrong, or help bring about a better future. Our work is done in service to what can be accomplished in a corruption-free future, and our donors make that future possible for individuals, communities, and beyond.

“To your request of my opinion of the manner in which a newspaper should be conducted, so as to be most useful, I should answer, ‘by restraining it to true facts and sound principles only.’ Yet I fear such a paper would find few subscribers.
― Thomas Jefferson

When we started Inside Investigator, it was with an eye toward that corruption-free future. Jefferson was right that “true facts and sound principles” do not yield the frenzied financial support of the yellow and advocacy journalism so common in mass media, but we persist because it is the right thing to do.

Inside Investigator was created to root out corruption through investigative journalism, and we will not compromise on the standards that make realizing that mission possible.

As a HerIItage Society supporter, your generosity and vision will equip the Inside Investigator team to uncover greater wrongs and ultimately end the corruption that holds people back. Future generations will be better able to pursue happiness, experience harmony, and develop prosperity without corruption in the way.
