We’re committed to providing Connecticut with interesting and informative stories.
As a reporter/ journalist you may be limited in what you can write for your home outlet. Or maybe you just want to write something different. We get it. That shouldn’t stop a good story from being told.
Nonprofit investigative journalism is vital to an educated and informed public. We want to be a part of providing that education. To that end, CII offers an Investigative Fellowship, paying $3,000 to a single writer to write a single long-form investigative piece that will be featured in the Inside Investigator alongside work from our full-time staff. Pitches are accepted on a rolling basis.
If your pitch is selected, you will receive access to our creative and editorial team throughout the process of writing your story. Our team will help you develop and present your story to our audience with unique visuals, video support, media promotion, and editorial collaboration.
We support better journalism and want to allow more journalists to tell important stories. It’s part of who we are. Want to donate to expand our fellowship program? Click here.
